Team Equipment
Uniform and Player Equipment
The referees are told to follow these rules without exception. Please make these rules known to your players and the parents of your players.
Game Cancellations
Travel team games are cancelled in one of two ways:
Referee No-Shows
If no ref shows up for your game you’ll need to work it out with the coach from the opposing team – usually having an assistant coach from each team ref the game (each working half the field) is a good compromise. Or an asst from each team ref’ing half the game. And please let your league coordinator know so he/she can feed it upstream.
Soccer Shed
In our soccer closet you can find equipment that you will need during the season (ice packs, corner flags, pinnies, etc.). The closet is on the side of the snack shack. There is a combination lock box on the door and inside it is the key that will open the closet. The combination to the lock box is available through your league coordinator. Please do not share this combination with anyone else. When you are done getting what you need please return the key to the lockbox and lock it back up again.
Field Setup/Takedown
Each year we ask the coaches who have the first and last game of the day to set up and take down the field. Below are the instructions from our field coordinator. Before the beginning of the season we will send you a schedule of who is first and who is last on each game day. Everything is located in the soccer shed.
First game coach responsibilities:
Set corner flags and goals in place on your field
Check goals for any holes, broken ties, etc and fix (extra ties can be found in the soccer shed)
Verify that sandbags are in place on goals
Last game coach responsibilities:
Remove corner flags and return to soccer shed
Do field trash patrol (great job for the kids to do before they leave!)
