Welcome to Sterling (MA) Youth Soccer Association
About SYSA
The Sterling Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) is dedicated to providing a quality recreational fall soccer program for the youth of Sterling, MA ages K-HS. Our mission is primarily developmental, not competitive. SYSA seeks to help its players develop their soccer skills, their love for the game, their teamwork and sportsmanship, and their character.
Sterling Youth Soccer is managed according to divisions by grade/age brackets. Please see Registration page for full details.
Fall Soccer runs from late August through the beginning of November. Each Fall we sponsor in-town (younger age groups) and travel programs:

For Spring Soccer, Sterling is affiliated with Mountain Soccer Club for Grades 3-12. Mountain Club is a 4-town regional organization that competes in the Central Massachusetts Youth Soccer League (CMYSL) with games throughout Central Mass. Your child could be placed on a team that practices in any of the 4 towns (Sterling, Princeton, Paxton, or Rutland) and your home field for games will depend on the age group (for instance, Sterling is the home field for Grade 3/4 Mountain Club teams only).
For Winter Indoor Soccer, contact your age group coordinator who may be able to put you in touch with a coach forming an indoor team.

- (PK/K) play on intramural teams. Games/practices are on Saturday mornings at Muddy Pond Fields.
- (1st & 2nd Grade) play on intramural teams, with two sessions per week - Saturday morning (typically small-sided game) and either Monday or Wednesday evening (typically practice/training) on Muddy Pond Fields.
Travel Program:
- Children Grades 3-8 play on travel teams. Games are held on Saturdays for Grades 3-8. Typically one or two practices are held on weeknights (coach determines practice night(s) and schedule).
- Children playing travel (Grades 3-8) play in the Central Massachusetts Youth Soccer League (CMYSL). Four away games anywhere in Central MA.
